I am very interested in talks given by experts in their own fields. This is why I love Ignite Portland, and hope to keep going to each session. Along these same lines, BoingBoing recently posted a video of a Stanford prof's lecture on human bio ethics that was really funny and interesting. BoingBoing also had someone go to TED this year and had several posts about lectures given there. I'm interested in hearing more TED talks after seeing this video of Aimee Mullins at TED. Her lecture highlights some interesting points regarding our definition of disabilities, sexuality, beauty, art and functionality. I also find it interesting that she was involved in Matthew Barney's conceptual art film and on the cover of ID... which is also usually focused on conceptual design. Thoughts or responses from the peanut gallery?

Amen.

I really, really want to go to TED some day. Will I ever be cool enough?
