I cannot express enough, how much I love autumn. I love the slanted, golden light that illuminates trees, leaves, cats and everything. I love the smell in the air. The mysterious crispness that gives me freedom from and sweeps out the thick summer air that hangs and oppresses. I love the colors of leaves and shrubs, and the evening sky. I love apples and cider, pumpkin carving and squash, and the end of the growing season produce. I love the imagination and play of Halloween. I love the cozy fireplace warmth, the snuggle of scarves, and the pile of blankets and cats on my lap while I read.

In the photo are three things I love:
1) the tiny Bug
2) autumn sunshine
3) knitting

Dude, testify!

Let all people who hate being uncomfortably hot for three-plus months rally behind the radness that is Fall.

P.S. My word verification thing for today is "butinger". I'm pretty sure that's a 3rd-grade insult. You butinger.

I wholeheartedly agree... it is the best season. It kicks summer's ass fo sho, and spring is so happy-scrappy.

MY word verification is "disties". It sounds like some sort of little pustule.
